HIGHLUX® Guarantee

HIGHLUX® multi-skin and corrugated sheets show excellent weather resistance. Their essential material properties undergo minimal change over the course of time. The products therefore remain fully functional even after many years of service.

This guarantee only applies to applications in Europe.

20-Year Guarantee

HIGHLUX® retains its high light transmission*

HIGHLUX® multi-skin and corrugated sheets show a light transmission of up to 88% upon delivery.
This value drops by a maximum of 4% after 20 years.
The light transmission is measured according to DIN 5036, Part 3, illuminant τ D65.
The sheets remain smooth and dirt-repellent.

HIGHLUX® retains its hail resistance

The hail resistance for corrugated sheets is 1 joule over a time period of 20 years**.

10-Year Guarantee

HIGHLUX® retains its load-bearing capacity and strength and does not become brittle

These properties retain at least 90% of their initial value after 10 years.
The modulus of elasticity and tensile strength are measured according to DIN EN ISO 527-1.

HIGHLUX® retains its hail resistance

The hail resistance for multi-skin sheets is 1 joule over a time period of 10 years**.

* only applies to clear-transparent HIGHLUX® multi-skin and corrugated sheets.
** 1 joule corresponds to the kinetic energy of polyamide PA 66 pellets with a diameter of 20 mm that are propelled against the sheet surface at a speed of 21 m/s.

Regional Validity

This guarantee is limited to applications in Europe and remains valid until replaced by a more recent version. You can obtain the currently valid version of the guarantee from your HIGHLUX® distributor or Mönch Kunststoff-Technik GmbH.

Conditions of Guarantee and Exclusions

All guaranteed values are measured on clean specimens. In the case of complicated profiles, the values may be measured on flat specimens with parallel faces cut out of the material, since it would not otherwise be possible to establish characteristic material values, or not with sufficient accuracy. Textured semifinished products are to be measured in their original thickness with the textured side (in the case of two textured sides, the side with the coarser texture) facing the light source.
The products have to be stored, transported, fabricated, installed and used in a manner that suits the material. They must not be thermoformed or exposed to adverse chemical influences. Information on the correct application, care and use of our products can be found in HIGHLUX® brochures, which you can obtain from your HIGHLUX® distributor or Mönch Kunststoff-Technik GmbH.

Guarantee Period

This guarantee commences on the day of delivery to the user and ends with the dismantling of the first item/structure for which the product was used; with intentional or willful destruction; or upon expiry of the 20th or 10th year after the date of purchase. The shortest of these periods shall apply. Any claims made under this guarantee shall be subject to the version of this guarantee statement in force at the time of purchase of our products by the user, or to subsequent guarantee statements authorized by us. You can obtain the currently valid version of the guarantee from your HIGHLUX® distributor or Mönch Kunststoff-Technik GmbH.

Applicability

Claims can be made under this guarantee on the condition that the user presents us with an invoice issued by the salesperson stating the name and address of the user, the date of purchase, the complete product designation and product quantity the case to be considered under this guarantee is presented to us in writing during the guarantee period, at the latest within 30 days we are immediately given the opportunity to examine the defect or have it examined on site, together with its possible causes.

Performance

If the guarantee is applicable, we will replace the defective HIGHLUX® product ex works. If we no longer manufacture suitable replacement material or such material cannot be delivered, the user will be refunded the entire original purchase price or a percentage thereof as listed below:

after 5 years 75 %

after 7 years 50 %

after 9 years 25 %

Further or other claims based on or related to this guarantee statement are excluded.

Consumer Rights, Law and Jurisdiction

This guarantee does not affect the statutory rights of the consumer, nor does it limit them in any way. This guarantee shall be subject to the applicable law in the Federal Republic of Germany at the time of purchase of our products by the user, excluding any provisions of private international law. The sole venue for claims based on this guarantee shall be Bad König, Federal Republic of Germany.
